While some fathers might consider leaving the room, the best idea is to have a plan to address these kinds of questions. So how should you handle this? Do you just tell them everything, and hope they don’t do the same things you did, or do you avoid telling the truth? For a while, psychologists were suggesting to parents that the best strategy to use was telling the truth about your past. If you experimented with or used drugs, just let your kids know. Being honest with your kids was more important than any other consideration. Are You Hands-On?

Well, these parents monitor their kids’ TV-watching and Internet use, they put restrictions on what music their kids buy, they know where their kids are after school and on weekends, and they give regular chores to their children. Having a strong bond between a father and daughter is near and dear to my hear, especially being that I have a 5 month old little girl and I want us to make sure we have the best relationship from a male to female point of view. When i read this article i thought this is everything that i have been thinking and more. It really emphasises the importance of my role to her and makes me feel very priviledged and special, and somewhat scared of making sure I don’t stuff up
