A great old-school lullabye from a Danny Kaye movie "Five Pennies"

What has happened to these great movies and entertainers???

To save my little girls ears, I tend to just hum along :-)
Singing is a great way to interact with my little girl, the sound of my voice (trying to sing) sooths her.

Warm Regards

Eric

DO YOU HAVE A STORY ABOUT A SPECIAL MOMENT OF INTIMACY, LOVE OR TENDERNESS SHARED WITH YOUR BABY?

Would you like to be part of an inspirational new book for parents and caregivers and help neglected and abused children at the same time?

Research has shown that less stress and more fun is best for baby's brain development and that parents and caregivers who spend time engaging in lots of loving touch and relaxed interactions with their baby are actually helping their child’s brain to develop. Following the success of her first book, ‘Move Baby Move’ www.movebabymove.info which links early exercise with brain development and learning, author Sophie Foster has started work on her next book, ‘Love Baby Love,’ which links parents’ experiences of intimacy, love and tenderness with their baby, with brain development. ... read more >>

So I was helping Mr. Z with his math homework, this afternoon, and it mostly consisted of converting metric measurements from one size to another, like kilograms to grams or millimeters to centimeters and shit like that. At first I was like, "ah, no fucking problem," but as I was trying to explain it to him, my withered synapses fucking seized up on me and I found myself rapidly spinning down some bottomless numerical vortex, and I began second-guessing every answer and well, frankly, it got pretty ugly pretty quick.

We made it through to the other side with only a few tears (and he was pretty upset, too) and then we closed the book and I let him watch some Spongebob so that any trace amounts of understanding he may have gleaned from our little study session were instantly erased and replaced with "GAAAAHHHHHHH!" ... read more >>

I just recently signed up to Facebook ... you won’t find much on it - now I’m there, I actually don’t know what to do with myself.

I mean, I say ‘yes’ to people I know who ask to be my friend and have popped a few pictures up for the world to see.

But now what? I mean, what’s so great about this peer-to-peer or social networking that has, as far as Google can tell, two hundred million people worldwide facebooking, My Spacing, You Tubing or Beboing every single month ... have I missed something?

To call it social networking is really pulling the wool over our eyes, because there’s not a great deal of socialising going on at all.

In the first 2 days, around 25 people miraculously appeared at the door of my Facebook page, asking to hang out ... ... read more >>

Well known life style magazine Vice magazine is on the lookout for 6-8 Teenage father’s, who do not get to see their children regularly, for an article and photo shoot.

Ideally the guys would be from London, definitely from the UK.

If you are interested please send a photo and a little about yourself to Shannon.

Last night we were watching TV before bed, and April had Alleke on her lap. The show we were watching seemed relatively harmless until one point when the main character's skin melted off his face, and he turned into a talking meatball. I grimaced, and April put her hand over Alleke's eyes.

When the scene changed, and April thought it was safe for Alleke to watch again, she took her hand away.

Alleke must have thought the show was still too scary because she took April's hand, put it back over her eyes, and held it there.
